Robert Half is looking to find a talented, efficient Staff Accountant to join an esteemed organization. In this role, you will have responsibility over the preparation of journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. During the monthly close, you'll have responsibility over many aspects of internal reporting. In addition, you will look over schedules for the reporting processes, participate in compliance, and keep in touch with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits. A good deal of time in this position will be spent on producing Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. The organization offering this multi-faceted short-term contract / temporary opportunity is based in the Truckee, California region, and provides a terrific work environment where effort is rewarded.Key responsibilities- Participate in various initiatives spanning multiple departments- Carry out fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation- Take part the in implementation and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures, ensuring compliance with GAAP- Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll- Play a role in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation- Manage capital lease and monthly payment schedules- Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as needed- Offer descriptions of a large number of financial data and communicate insights in a useful and understandable manner- Conduct month end close, journal entries, without supervision- Create monthly statement analysis to be used for management reportings
