This role's duties will require you to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. You'll be preferred for this role.What you get to do every single day- Perform the month end close and produce journal entries under minimal supervision- Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting- Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll- Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation- Intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation- Organize and review a variety of financial data, reporting it in a way that is useful and understandable- Arrange schedules for capital lease and monthly payments- Regularly maintain and reconcile journal entries- Thorough experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations- Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP- Upon request, take part in special projects and impromptu reporting- Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers- Play a part in a variety of department-wide initiatives
