The Tax Accountant will work with financial and income tax statements, making sure that they comply with tax laws by filing their federal and state tax returns. This is the role for a deadline driven Tax Accountant with excellent attention to detail and organization.Key responsibilities- Find tax solutions to complicated tax issues or errors from incorrect tax filings- Keep up-to-date with tax changes and industry trends by participating in educational opportunities, participating in detail oriented organizations, keeping up with detail oriented networks and reading detail oriented publications- Coordinate outsourced tax preparation work- Confirm that clients comply with federal, state and local tax regulations- Manage the company's tax database and put together tax provisions schedules, returns, payments, and reports- Identify legal tax savings and recommend ways to improve profits- Accurately assemble annual and quarterly tax reports- Advise management about the impact of tax liabilities and corporate strategies or new tax laws
