We are seeking an experienced, capable Senior Accountant to join our team for a company in the construction sector. This role is a senior level general ledger accountant with a strong focus on financial analysis. This individual will play a vital role in building upon variance analysis, ad hoc reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, as well as outlining scenarios. Review and create financial reports including variance analyses and forecasting.2. Carry out month, quarter, and year-end closings.3. Prepare and post monthly journal entries.4. Carry out an account and bank account reconciliation.5. Evaluate financial reports and highlight trends, opportunities, and areas for concern.6. Assist in tax preparation, specifically pertaining to California tax codes.7. Participate and offer valuable insight in team collaboration and decision-making.8. Travel to multiple sites and branches when required and work with remote teams.Qualifications:1. A minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or a related field, ideally within the construction sector.2. Proficiency with accounting software – Sage preferred.3.
