Robert Half is Hiring a Senior Project Manager Near Hartford, CT

Job Responsibilities:

  • Writing project proposals, defining project scope and documenting system requirements.
  • Performing system testing and other project management responsibilities.
  • Developing relationships with state government partners at all levels of project teams.
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project progression.
  • Managing project meetings, preparing reports, maintaining schedules and cost plans.
  • Assisting the department with special projects related to the PMO team and portal operations.
  • Leading change management processes, including coordination, facilitation, assessment, planning, risk management, execution and testing.
  • Delivering regular status updates to key internal/external customers and stakeholders.
  • Showing leadership by holding teams accountable for their commitments and removing roadblocks to their work.
  • Building and leading an engaged and empowered project team.
  • Championing ongoing process improvements to implement best practices for Agile Project Management and Change Management.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in engineering, information systems, business, computer science or equivalent work experience in project management.
  • Minimum of five years' experience in project management.
  • Preferable experience in implementing web-based applications.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly flexible and entrepreneurial environment.
  • Ability to understand and evaluate various technologies and platforms.
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle methodologies.
  • Proficiency in analyzing business processes and developing a practical and useful system to support them.
  • Track record of delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Web Content Management Systems and a plus.
  • Working knowledge of JIRA/Confluence is beneficial.
