As a Revenue Accountant with a focus on accounts receivable, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and revenue recognition while actively managing our accounts receivable processes within a hospital setting. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, a thorough understanding of accounting principles specific to healthcare, and the ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals and administrative teams.Reason for Opening: • Backfill revenue reimbursement teams (revenue/billing, fee reimbursement) during a major ERP Implementation.Requirements: • Billing and revenue analysis in a hospital or other healthcare environment • Deep understanding of internal controls for billing and invoicing activities • Strong GAAP foundation Day-to-Day Responsibilities: • Revenue/AR analysis of actual results compared to budget, with a detailed explanation • Review and propose enhancements to process and controls for invoicing and fee reimbursement programs • Prepare journal entries, monthly sub-ledger reconciliations, and supporting workpapers for audit Education Requirements: • Bachelor degree or 4 years’ A/R accounting and billing analysis experience • Prefer hospital accounting experience • CPA certification preferred but not requiredThis project is expected to last for 9 months. Ideal start date is in March 2024. This role is mostly remote, but ideally you are a local Bay Area accountant.
