As Senior Accountant you will be involved with the daily accounting operations and working closely with the Controller, CFO and Ownership. Responsibilities include:
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Oversee the general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address accounting-related queries.
- Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts, providing accurate financial data and insights to support planning activities.
- Conduct thorough variance analysis to identify trends, potential risks, and opportunities.
- Present findings and recommendations to management for strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits, providing necessary documentation and ensuring a smooth audit process.
- Implement audit recommendations to enhance internal controls.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting function.
- Streamline procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Various Ad-hoc projects
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
