Job Title: Senior Financial AccountantPay: $76.00 hourly Business Unit: Enterprise Financial ServicesWork Schedule:Remote role with PST hours preferredBasic Qualifications:Respond to inquiries regarding accounting related activities, and utilize judgment to address or call out issues as necessary.Review contracts and other transactions for appropriate accounting treatment.Support annual internal and external audits as necessary, through the preparation of audit schedules, financial statements and footnotes.Play a key role in general process improvements and process documentation for all facets of the accounting cycle.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in investigating balance sheet discrepancies.Experience dealing with overhead costs and involvement in forecasting.Additional Responsibilities:Own the preparation of journal entries for key balance sheet and income statement accounts during the quarter-end close process, primarily related to SG& A, including compensation and consulting accruals.Partner with Disney shared service groups to ensure accurate and timely recording of Hulu transactions related to ad sales, fixed assets, internally developed software, foreign entities, and tax.Prepare and review work paper reconciliations for key balance sheet and expense accounts on a monthly or quarterly basis and perform fluctuation analyses.Work directly with the Manager, Financial Accounting on ad hoc company initiatives.
