We are looking for a diligent PC Technician to join our team in the local government sector located in West Palm Beach, Florida. This role involves installing, configuring, and maintaining end user computers and peripherals. You will be responsible for responding to inquiries, troubleshooting hardware, and providing user assistance in a dynamic work environment. Responsibilities:• Install, configure, upgrade, maintain, and troubleshoot end user computers and peripherals.• Respond to inquiries and instruct end users on site or over the telephone in the safe and efficient use of their computers and programs.• Maintain notes and logs on computer assistance provided, computer settings, and computer asset inventory database.• Install connectivity to the network and/or relocate existing hardware to accommodate end user’s relocation within various departments.• Troubleshoot hardware and arrange replacement parts from approved vendors or manufacturers.• Configure personal computers for new employees.• Assist in or provide user requests for special operations or reports.• Knowledge of city, federal, and state laws, rules, and regulations related to telecommunications and computer information services.• Knowledge of software installation, set up, configuration specific to needs of end user.• Skill in utilizing a wide variety of computer software and databases to retrieve information and statistics.• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
