We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team on a temporary-to-hire basis. The ideal candidate will have expertise in multi-state payroll processing, with a strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance requirements. Experience with union payroll is a plus. This position will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our organization.Responsibilities:Process bi-weekly or semi-monthly payroll for employees across multiple states, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.Calculate and process wage garnishments, deductions, and adjustments accurately and timely.Prepare and reconcile payroll reports, including tax filings, earnings statements, and labor distribution reports.Manage employee timekeeping systems, including reviewing and approving timecards and resolving any discrepancies.Assist with the implementation and configuration of payroll software systems, including ADP and Paylocity.Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure proper documentation and reporting of payroll-related transactions.Handle inquiries and requests from employees regarding payroll matters in a timely and professional manner.Stay current on payroll regulations and industry trends, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
