Our client is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Payroll Specialist to join their team on a temporary basis. This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home. As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for our organization.Responsibilities:- Process payroll accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations- Maintain employee records, including time and attendance, benefits, and deductions- Calculate and process payroll adjustments, such as bonuses, commissions, and overtime- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure accurate employee data and resolve any payroll discrepancies- Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management as needed- Stay up-to-date with payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance- Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and reporting- Provide exceptional customer service to employees regarding payroll inquiries and issuesRequirements:- Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role- Strong knowledge of payroll processes and regulations- Proficiency in using payroll software and systems (experience with QuickBooks is required)- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and formulas- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy- Strong organizational and time management skills- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
