Robert Half has an opening for a Payroll Clerk at a growing company in the Federal Way, Washington area whose main responsibility will be to support the Payroll department in a number of duties. The position seeks a candidate who is skilled in communicating with both the internal team and outside customers while being part of a dynamic, fast-growing team. The Payroll Clerk will be required to perform data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. The Payroll Clerk position is looking to be filled on a long-term contract / temporary employment contract.
How you will make an impact
- Organize data into spreadsheets and the payroll system
- Carry out clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc
- Reach out to employees via phone and email to obtain timesheet approvals
- Compile a system of administering and distributing reports
- Be the main point of instruction/training contact to employees regarding payroll-related best practices
- Build and run custom reports
- Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system
