Located on the east side of Grand Rapids, Michigan area, this Network Engineer role is an opportunity for permanent employment.
Your responsibilities in this role
- Collaborate closely with vendors, clients, carriers and technical staff on implementing, optimizing, and consistently managing of networks
- Use traditional and creative methods to engineer enterprise data, voice and video networks
- Set up and manage network test facilities
- Contribute top-notch support and technical expertise in networking technology such as hubs, bridges, hardware and routers
- Maintain a secure transfer of data to multiple locations via internal and external networks
Requirements
- 5 years networking experience
- An understanding of networking such as switching and routing is preferred
- Solid understanding of LAN (local area networks)
- Experience with Meraki
- WANs (Wide Area Network) experience required
- General familiarity with VPN Technologies
- Proven knowledge of SonicWall
- Cisco Hardware experience
- Practical knowledge of VPNs (virtual private networks)
- Well-founded grasp of ARISTA
- Cyber Security experience
