Description
The Network Engineer must have expertise in managing physical and virtual Windows servers, with a focus on Citrix and Microsoft Azure. Based in Buffalo, New York, this role will involve ensuring the operational integrity and efficiency of information systems, with a particular emphasis on the administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Windows servers. The successful candidate will also have experience with cloud technologies.
Responsibilities:
Work with Citrix and VMware platforms as a significant part of daily tasks.
Utilize cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure, Entra, and M365.
Apply skills in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, and Cisco Routers to perform job functions.
Utilize knowledge of Cisco Technologies, Computer Hardware, and Configuration Management in daily tasks.
Employ skills in Eigrp, Firewall Technologies, and Network Engineering.
Work with Citrix Technologies, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy management.
Use Azure Active Directory, VMs, Azure Networking, and Exchange Online in network engineering tasks.
Administer and support Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, including provisioning, application deployment, and user access management.
Monitor system performance and user experience, ensuring high levels of operational continuity and efficiency.
Support the network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and managed firewalls, and VPNs.
Apply and manage security solutions to protect systems against unauthorized access, in line with industry standards and regulations.
Manage patching and hardening of Windows servers and work with the firm's managed security provider to remediate potential security vulnerabilities.
Manage and maintain the firm's backup and disaster recovery systems.
Requirements
Knowledge of Firewall Technologies
Solid experience in Network Engineering
Familiarity with Citrix and Citrix Technologies
Experience with Azure Active Directory, Azure AD Connect, Azure API Management, Azure DevOps, and Azure SQL Database
Proficiency in VMware, Vmware Infrastructure, and Vmware Technologies
Expertise in Microsoft technologies (Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell scripting)
Deep understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP), services (DNS, DHCP), and security practices.
