Description
We are in the market for a Desktop Support Analyst to join our team in Newark, Delaware. The role primarily involves providing technical assistance to our in-house team, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of desktop computing within the company. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.
100% ONSITE IN NEWARK, DELAWARE
Responsibilities:
Provide on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of basic to intermediate desktop problems for end users.
Implement corrective solutions, including off-site repair for remote users as required.
Handle the lifting of equipment weighing between 11-25 lbs.
Build, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot desktop computer systems.
Create and review support tickets to move, change, install, report, or remove computers, printers, monitors or data communications equipment such as modems, cables, and wires.
Collaborate with LAN technicians/network admins to ensure efficient operation of the desktop computing environment.
Manage helpdesk support tickets, follow up, and close them in a timely manner.
Provide efficient and prompt customer service support.
Assist in troubleshooting hardware and software support issues with wireless access and desk and/or mobile phones.
Assist staff with proper inventory of all office IT equipment and software licenses.
Monitor industry websites or publications for information about patches, releases, viruses, or potential problem identification.
The role requires skills in Basic Troubleshooting, Desktop Hardware, and Hardware Troubleshooting.

Proficient in handling desktop hardware
Demonstrated capability in hardware troubleshooting
Able to provide technical support and resolve IT issues
Knowledge of desktop operating systems and software applications
Familiarity with network systems and servers
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and in a team
Strong problem-solving capabilities
Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
