Project Accountant for Large Construction CompanySummary Responsible for all payables and receivables for assigned construction projects.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Review Owner's Contracts for each new project assigned.Input cost and income budgets per owner’s contract.Review the new project with the Project Manager for any idiosyncrasies.Review and job cost all incoming invoices from subcontractors in accordance with subcontract log and approved schedule of values for the project.Submit incoming invoices to Project Manager's for their review and approval.Confirm sub-contactors have met all proper requirements per contract and input invoicing into AP.Process billings for signature and presentation to owners.Upon receipt of payment from owner, prepare payment to subcontractors.Review and process all indirect billings for payment per project.Process all related paperwork per project (i.e.: change orders, vouchers, and bank requests).Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; a minimum of one year experience in construction accounting, or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting software; Database software; Internet software; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.Must be familiar with Construction industry Accounting and Software Systems.
