Job Summary:
We are seeking an Information Security Specialist to play a hands-on role in safeguarding our organization against cyber threats. In this role, you will be responsible for the oversight, maintenance, and implementation of security software solutions. You will collaborate closely with our managed security service provider to monitor our digital environment. Your expertise in cybersecurity methodologies will be crucial in proactively mitigating potential threats and preventing external attacks on our internal network. Additionally, you will take a lead role in the implementation of a NIST/CSF security program, driving structural changes across the business.
- Implementing Security Policies: Develop and enforce robust security policies and protocols to protect our organization's digital assets.
- Conducting Audits: Perform regular audits to assess the effectiveness of security designs and implementations. Report audit results to management for informed decision-making.
- Presenting Findings to Senior Management: Compile and present comprehensive findings, reports, and actionable solutions to senior management, ensuring they are well-informed about our security posture.
- Keeping Security Updates Current: Ensure that all systems remain up-to-date with the latest security updates, patches, and configurations to mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Analyzing Network Systems: Analyze our network systems and structures to ensure they employ the most secure practices, protecting against potential threats.
- Managing Digital Asset Protection: Oversee the protection of our digital assets, safeguarding sensitive information from unauthorized access or breaches.
- Leading Security Initiative Projects: Take a leadership role in security initiative projects, serving as the driving force behind execution and structural improvements.
