Description
We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Help Desk Analyst I based in CROMWELL, Connecticut. This role involves system administration tasks and end user support for a leading telecom provider. The successful candidate will be responsible for system maintenance, administration, and the provision of technical assistance to end-users.
Responsibilities:
Administer, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and IT infrastructure.
Implement cybersecurity measures to ensure systems operate reliably.
Provide technical support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues promptly.
Assist in troubleshooting and problem resolution for IT-related concerns.
Collaborate with Managed Service Provider to monitor network performance and optimize configurations for seamless operation.
Implement and manage security measures to safeguard against unauthorized access.
Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies for critical systems and data.
Install, configure, and update software applications to meet organizational needs.
Support audio-video conferencing and ensure seamless operation for virtual meetings.
Work closely with other departments to plan and implement system upgrades and enhancements.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
Offer on-call support to resolve system downtime and other critical incidents.
Requirements
The candidate should have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role
Proficiency in System Administration is required
The candidate must possess excellent problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential
The candidate should be well-versed with various help desk software
Knowledge of network protocols and processes is needed
The candidate should have the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize them
Experience in customer service would be advantageous
The candidate must have the ability to work in a team as well as independently
Flexibility to work in shifts would be a plus
The candidate should have a strong technical aptitude and be able to learn new technologies quickly
An associate's or bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field is preferred.
