A private, yet rapidly growing hedge fund in San Francisco that manages over $2 Billion in AUM across 6 fund vehicles is hiring a new Fund Accountant for the team. Founded by an exceptional portfolio manager about 10 years ago, this team runs fast and lean and has a very entrepreneurial spirit. The firm is in expansion mode and looking to hire a hungry Fund Accountant that enjoys learning and working closely with a team. Terrific opportunity to learn the ins-outs of the hedge fund business and get exposure to the front, middle and back office operations of the business. • Assist in daily reconciliation of cash, trades and securities with bank and broker statements. Identify and investigate and differences. • Assist Controller with private investment document filing. • Liaise with Morgan Stanley fund administrator, brokers and custodians to resolve any differences. • Assist with cash management and setting up wires. • Work closely with Controller on the month-end process and NAV review for the investment funds.• Serve as backup for daily trade operations
