Experience within the Logistics/Freight sector is preferred.Please send resume to Eric Herndon for considerationResponsibilities- Take the lead on all financial and accounting operations- Prepare financial outlooks and forecasts- Decide on benchmarks for comparing the operating and financial performance- Manage the hiring, training, and retention of finance staff- Own financial planning and budget management functions- Manage the organizational structure of the department in order to achieve goals and objectives- Direct all financial reporting preparation- Evaluate and sustain forecasting and budgeting models- Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget- Develop five-year business plans with department managers- Develop financial analysis prior to contract negotiations and product investment decisions- Assist in establishing short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures- Supervise risk and insurance management- Comply with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements
