Robert Half is Hiring a Cost Estimator Near Lewisville, TX
Robert Half is partnering with a client in the Manufacturing industry. This role will be on site 100% working alongside the Purchasing, Sales, and Project Management departments. Responsibilities:
- Analyze product designs, specifications, and manufacturing processes to determine the cost of materials, labor, and overhead.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to gather relevant data and information for cost estimation.
- Use cost estimation software and tools to develop accurate and reliable cost estimates.
- Evaluate supplier quotes and negotiate prices to ensure competitiveness and cost-effectiveness.
- Prepare cost breakdowns and reports for management review and decision-making.
- Monitor and update cost estimates throughout the product lifecycle to account for changes in materials, labor rates, and other factors.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement to optimize manufacturing efficiency and profitability.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory requirements that may impact cost estimation processes.
- Assist in the development of budget proposals and pricing strategies for new products and projects.
- Support other departments as needed with cost-related inquiries and analysis.
