Robert Half is Hiring a Cost Estimator Near Lewisville, TX

Robert Half is partnering with a client in the Manufacturing industry. This role will be on site 100% working alongside the Purchasing, Sales, and Project Management departments. Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze product designs, specifications, and manufacturing processes to determine the cost of materials, labor, and overhead.
  2. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to gather relevant data and information for cost estimation.
  3. Use cost estimation software and tools to develop accurate and reliable cost estimates.
  4. Evaluate supplier quotes and negotiate prices to ensure competitiveness and cost-effectiveness.
  5. Prepare cost breakdowns and reports for management review and decision-making.
  6. Monitor and update cost estimates throughout the product lifecycle to account for changes in materials, labor rates, and other factors.
  7. Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement to optimize manufacturing efficiency and profitability.
  8. Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory requirements that may impact cost estimation processes.
  9. Assist in the development of budget proposals and pricing strategies for new products and projects.
  10. Support other departments as needed with cost-related inquiries and analysis.
