We are seeking a meticulous Cost Accountant for our team in Turlock, California. The selected candidate will be responsible for working closely with the Senior Accounting Manager to establish standard costs of manufactured goods, among other duties. This role is instrumental in our manufacturing environment and requires proficiency in Cost Accounting, Sage Software, Microsoft Excel, Product Costing, Product Cost Development, and Manufacturing Cost Accounting.Responsibilities:• Collaborate with the Senior Accounting Manager to establish standard costs of manufactured goods• Conduct regular analysis of cost standards and report on variances to actual costs• Create cost models to determine costs of labor, administration, sales, and other factors by material• Recommend changes to reduce costs and maximize profit• Prepare monthly reports to measure shrink of raw materials and packaging• Review work orders for accuracy and adjust costs as necessary in the Sage X3 ERP system• Conduct research on material costs to ensure the accuracy of information in the Sage X3 ERP system• Carry out periodic audits of manufacturing processes to ensure accuracy of allocated costs• Work closely with the CFO to provide material costs for budget preparation• Manage bill of materials for all manufactured goods to ensure accurate costing in the Sage X3 ERP system• Foster teamwork and embrace accountability.
