This permanent position is for a Controller who will work in the New Hyde Park, New York region.What you get to do every single day- Ensure timely cash collection by driving the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques- Responsible for month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis- Research, prepare and execute Finance Department initiatives such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as required- Manage the production of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts- Evaluate, implement and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies- Prepare cash-flow reports, projecting cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, daily cash management- Inspect deliverables of self and team to ensure that they meet client expectations- Collaborate with executive team and partners to support efficient and effective firm-wide operation- Manage finance department operations, including accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll- Comfortable handling responsibilities beyond formal job duties- Present monthly financial reports to executive committee and partners
