We are seeking a diligent Controller for our Manufacturing entity located in Des Plaines, Illinois. In this role, you will be entrusted with the management of accounting operations, including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition. This position offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities:• Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.• Coordinate and guide the creation of the budget and financial forecasts, reporting any variances.• Prepare timely monthly financial statements.• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.• Analyze and advise on business operations including revenue and expenditure trends, financial commitments, and future revenues.• Work in conjunction with external auditors and provide necessary information for the annual external audit.• Provide leadership to the finance department and foster a culture of continuous improvement.Skills: • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)• Experience with Budget Processes and Month End Close• Familiarity with Epicor and Microsoft Excel• Expertise in Financial Reporting and Account Reconciliation
