Position Overview:We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Budget Analyst to join our dynamic team. The Healthcare Budget Analyst will play a critical role in financial planning and analysis for our healthcare organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of healthcare finance, budgeting principles, and data analysis techniques. This individual will work closely with finance and operational teams to develop, monitor, and analyze budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimize resource allocation to support organizational objectives.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with departmental leaders to develop annual operating budgets and long-term financial forecasts based on historical data, industry trends, and strategic priorities.Monitor budget performance and variance analysis on a regular basis, identifying key drivers of variances and recommending corrective actions as needed.Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for senior management, board of directors, and other stakeholders, highlighting key financial metrics, trends, and insights.Conduct financial modeling and scenario analysis to evaluate the financial impact of strategic initiatives, new programs, and capital investments.Analyze revenue and expense trends, including reimbursement rates, patient volumes, and operational efficiencies, to identify opportunities for revenue enhancement and cost containment.Develop and maintain financial models, databases, and dashboards to support decision-making processes and improve financial transparency across the organization.Assist in the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and regulatory requirements.Collaborate with IT and data analytics teams to extract, transform, and analyze large datasets using SQL or other database querying tools.Stay informed about changes in healthcare regulations, reimbursement methodologies, and industry best practices related to budgeting and financial management.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or related field; Master's degree or CPA certification preferred.Minimum [X] years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or healthcare finance, preferably in a healthcare setting.Proficiency in SQL or similar database querying languages/tools for data extraction and analysis.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings effectively to diverse audiences.Solid understanding of accounting principles, including journal entries, accruals, and financial statement analysis.Experience with budgeting software, financial modeling tools, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive financial information.
