Robert Half is partnering with a Shreveport company to find an Accounts Receivable Manager to oversee the accounts receivable functions. Exceptional customer service skills will be crucial for this position. They will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, efficient collection of payments, and resolution of any discrepancies or issues related to accounts receivable. The role requires strong leadership skills, financial acumen, and the ability to collaborate across departments to optimize cash flow and minimize outstanding debts.Responsibilities:Invoicing and Billing:Generate and distribute accurate and timely invoices to customers.Ensure invoices are properly coded, documented, and comply with relevant regulations and internal policies.Coordinate with sales, operations, and other departments to obtain necessary information for invoicing.Collections Management:Develop and implement effective strategies for timely collection of outstanding payments.Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts.Communicate with customers to resolve payment discrepancies or disputes promptly and professionally.Evaluate creditworthiness of new customers and establish appropriate credit terms and limits.Cash Application:Oversee the accurate and timely application of payments received to customer accounts.Reconcile payments received with invoices issued and resolve any discrepancies.Ensure proper recording and documentation of all transactions related to accounts receivable.Process Improvement:Identify opportunities to streamline accounts receivable processes and improve efficiency.Implement best practices and automation tools to enhance the effectiveness of collections and cash application processes.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate accounts receivable processes with other financial and operational systems.Reporting and Analysis:Prepare regular reports and analysis on accounts receivable metrics, including aging reports, DSO (Days Sales Outstanding), and cash flow projections.Provide insights and recommendations to management based on analysis of accounts receivable data.Compliance and Risk Management:Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls related to accounts receivable.Identify and mitigate risks related to credit and collections activities.
