Robert Half is in need of a talented Accounts Receivable (A/R) Clerk for an exciting opportunity in the Retail industry. In this position, you will enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain a cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. This quickly growing team is searching for a self-starter to join the accounting team! With high attention to detail, you will be processing full-cycle AP and handling a significant number of invoices per week. As the permanent Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will work in the Kalamazoo, Michigan region.Major responsibilities- Communicate with clients to settle payment issues and help create a payment plan- Perform a variety of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks- Enter and balance financial data in a number of ledgers while reconciling bank accounts- Provide information as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stake holders- Ensure accuracy of documents and codes- Process payments and assemble segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP- Maintain, relate, and promote the mission, values and culture of the organization
