Robert Half is offering a contract position for a skilled Accountant to join their dynamic, rapidly-growing team in the Manufacturing industry. As an Accountant, you will be in charge of preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. Throughout the monthly close, you will also be responsible for various aspects of internal reporting. You will assist in developing and implementing accounting policies. In addition, you will take part in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and look over schedules for the reporting processes. This position plays an intricate part in producing Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. This company, based in the Merritt Island, Florida area, offers a challenging and multi-faceted opportunity where effort is rewarded. Key responsibilities - Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analysis for management reporting - Manage intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation - Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll - Compose journal entries and conduct the month end close with minimal supervision - Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP - Maintain fixed asset ledgers, depreciation, and reconciliation - Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested - Take part in various department-wide initiatives - Periodic maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries - Manage schedules for capital lease and monthly payments - Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation - In-depth experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations - Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner
