    $126,740 to $145,088 annual salary plus cafeteria benefits plan

    PRIMARY FUNCTION
    The Director of Facilities and Operations has oversight and responsibility for the management of all district facilities, grounds and safety. This position also has oversight of planning and budget for long-term facilities maintenance. Reports to the Executive Director of Business Services.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Maintain department and long-term facilities management (LTFM) budget
    • Supervise, direct, and evaluate department staff
    • Oversee warehouse operations
    • Oversee district policies, standards, and procedures to help achieve efficient, effective, and safe operations
    • Manage the development and delivery of special projects related to design, alteration, remodeling, and inspection of district buildings, structures, and site improvements
    • Provide a regular program of staff development and training related to facilities and operations
    • Uphold specifications for building and site improvements in collaboration with the LTFM project manager.
    • Perform other duties and assume other responsibilities as assigned.
    QUALIFICATIONS
    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction is desired or a graduate of two-year technical school
    • Valid State of Minnesota Chief Boiler’s license, Chief C Engineer License
    • Valid Minnesota driver’s license
    • High level of initiative and knowledge in facilities and system management
    • Long range planning skills
    • Strong technological skills
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
    • Strong communication and human relations skills
    • Effective resource management skills
    • Effective staff supervision
    • Ability to promote and increase training opportunities to create a spirit of professionalism
