GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs intermediate skilled work in the operation of food and nutrition programs, including but not limited to the transport and operation of the food truck/trailer. Work is performed under regular supervision of the Director of Food and Nutrition.
ESSENTIAL TASKS

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Thorough knowledge of food preparation and food safety practices; thorough knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions associated with assigned trade; skilled in the use of tools and equipment; ability to follow and issue oral and written instructions; considerable knowledge of proper safety precautions regarding equipment maintenance; ability to maintain routine administrative reports and records; ability to effectively express ideas orally and in writing; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as necessitated by work assignments; ability to assume responsibility, display initiative, and exercise good judgment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma and/or several years of experience in food service operations preferred. Demonstrated professional knowledge of food preparation, food safety, and driving large motor vehicles. Serve Safe certificate required within 60 days of hire.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be physically able to operate a variety of machinery and equipment including computers, copiers, heavy equipment/generator, and commercial kitchen equipment, various hand tools, etc. Must be physically able to operate motor vehicles and tow a 14-foot trailer. Must be able to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 25 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a positive driving record. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential tasks.
WORK ENVIRONNMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works indoors and outdoors. The employee will work near or with moving mechanical equipment. The employee may work with toxic or caustic chemicals such as petroleum products, degreaser, and sprays. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
