WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Set up safe work zones with proper equipment
• Using hand signals and direction signs to divert traffic
• Communicating with other flaggers using hand-held radios to direct two-way traffic onto a single lane
• Control traffic flow with stop/slow paddles
• Setting up & removing all signs, barricades, and traffic cones
• Recording the license plate numbers of motorists who neglect to obey traffic signs and directions
• Communicate with your partner to keep everyone safe
• Provide outstanding service and protection to customers

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Able to work early mornings/ mid to late afternoons including weekends
• Comfortable standing 8-12 hours per day, walking 1-2 miles per day, and lifting up to 50 lbs. throughout the day, in all types of weather conditions
• Must have reliable transportation (the workplace is not accessible by public transportation)
• 2,000 working hours as a Flagger or 1 year of previous Flagger experience
• Sound knowledge of state traffic regulations
• The ability to stand for extended periods
• The ability to work as part of a team
• The ability to work in harsh weather conditions
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional observation skills
• Effective communication skills
• Must be dependable
• Pre-employment, physical and drug screen will be conducted on qualified applicants
