Job Description:

The Sales Management Trainee is a mid to entry level position in Byron Center, MI with opportunities for advancement! The position starts as an Inside Counter Sales role and for the right individual can lead to opportunities including Outside Sales, Regional Sales, Branch Management, Marketing or Leadership at any HTI company.


Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Counter sales of heavy-duty transportation parts and services to current customers and prospects
  • Parts Counter Sales associates conduct frequent inbound and outbound phone calls
  • Develop relationships over the phone and in person
  • Grow technical knowledge of parts essential to the heavy-duty vehicle aftermarket
  • Use of catalogs and parts manuals to identify and sell
  • Greet and advise customers in selection of products and their uses
  • Inside Parts Counter Sales employees are responsible for pulling and preparing orders for customer pick up or delivery

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma (GED) – Required
  • Bachelor's Degree – Preferred
  • 1-3 years of sales and/or customer service experience – Preferred
  • Experience with Heavy Duty Truck and Trailer Parts – Preferred
  • Ability to provide outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service
  • Must be able to multitask
  • Basic computer and math skills
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, stoop and lift/move up to 75 lbs.
  • Candidates must be able to pass a background check, drug test and/or MVR check.
