About Us: Select Senior Living is an assisted living facility dedicated to providing exceptional care for our residents. Our 87-unit facility includes an 14-bed Memory Care Unit, catering specifically to individuals with dementia. We are committed to enhancing the lives of our residents through meaningful experiences and personalized care.

Position Overview: We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Life Enrichment Assistant to join our Memory Care Unit team part time - 20 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for working with individuals with dementia, along with a commitment to creating engaging and purpospeful activities that enhance their quality of life.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement a diverse range of activities that cater to the unique needs and interests of residents in the Memory Care Unit.
• Foster a positive and supportive environment that encourages socialization, cognitive stimulation, and emotional well-being.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure activities align with the individualized care plans of residents.
• Provide one-on-one engagement for residents who may require personalized attention and support.
• Maintain documentation of residents' participation in activities and communicate observations to the care team.
• Stay informed about new developments in dementia care and incorporate best practices into daily activities.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with individuals with dementia in a similar role.
• Dementia certification preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Creativity and the ability to adapt activities to meet the varying needs of residents.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and take initiative independently.
• Understanding of person-centered care principles.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certification in Dementia Care is highly desirable.
• Previous experience in a memory care unit or assisted living setting.
