RJS Distributors LLC is Hiring a Delivery Route Driver Near Brook, IL

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Route Driver to join our team. The Route Driver will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering goods to various locations along designated routes.

Duties:
- Operate company vehicles, including box trucks and tractor-trailers, to transport goods
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or manual methods
- Follow delivery schedules and routes to ensure timely deliveries
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations during transport
- Handle paperwork, such as delivery confirmations and logs

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Route Driver or similar role
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles
- Familiarity with courier or delivery driver responsibilities
- Knowledge of loading/unloading techniques and safety procedures
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers
- Experience with driving various vehicles like box trucks, tractor-trailers, or forklifts is a plus
- Physical ability to perform tasks involving moving, lifting, and driving
