Job Summary: The Facilities Maintenance position is responsible for performing general and preventative maintenance at various communities managed by RJ Community Management. This is a hands on position, with the potential to grow into a position where you would manage and oversee others work.

Duties and Responsibilities

· General maintenance tasks.

· Small to medium projects such as, but not limited to door repairs, hardware replacements, mailbox replacements, patch small holes, and painting

· Trouble shoot issues to determine repairs needed

· Professional interaction with residents, prospective residents, co-workers, vendors, etc.

· Must maintain cleanliness of work areas

· Maintain tools and equipment in good working order and report any needed equipment purchases/repairs to supervisor

Job Factors

· Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds

· Frequently bends/stoops, climbs ladders, kneels, reaches above shoulder height, walks and twists

Education and Experience

· High school diploma or GED

· Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to work.

· Excellent organizational and time management skills

· Ability to follow directions and see tasks through to completion

· Ability to use hand tools and power tools

· Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions

Job Type: Full-time / On Call every other weekend

Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Pay: From $21.17 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
