Summary:
The General Construction Laborer builds and assembles custom roof supports.
Responsibilities:
- Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics and blueprints
- Able to operate a saw/heavy equipment to cut metal struts to the appropriate lengths
- Skilled in using hand and power tools to assemble metal supports that are up to 10 feet long and weigh up to 80 lbs.
- Able to disassemble support structures for shipment; must be able to properly package, wrap, palletize and label orders.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to address any issues that may arise during construction
- Ability to operate forklift/heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Able to work efficiently in teams or independently
Experience:
- Proven experience in assembly/construction; MUST be able to use a tape measure
- Able to be flexible as work assignments may change frequently
- Willing to be crossed-trained in various warehouse roles
- Willing to drive a forklift
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Able to lift 50-60lbs. continuously throughout the day
- Tolerate of temperature swings
- Willing to adhere to PPE requirements, safety glasses and earplugs
- Willing to fully engage in safety practices and warehouse 5S goals
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hours shift Day shift Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Suwanee, GA 30024: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
