Riverside Regional Jail has an opening and is currently accepting applications for the position of Mental Health Manager. This is a full time position with benefits.
Duties: The MHM is responsible for providing clinical supervision of clinical staff/Qualified Mental Health Professionals. Has knowledge of mental health concepts and diagnosis with some knowledge of substance abuse competencies and services. Responsible for providing effective leadership to the clinical staff, and works closely with the program staff (counselor/case workers). Has knowledge of the organization, provides supervision, reviews, assess, and evaluates patient/offender treatment plans and clinical records. Manages QMHP workload and meets weekly for treatment team. Conducts suicidal screening and preventions and ensures that QMHP’s provide day-to-day and face contact with the offenders.
Education and Experience: Applicant must have graduated from an accredited college or university with a Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or any other human service related field. Must have knowledge of mental health and some knowledge of substance use. A minimum of (3) years’ experience in a jail, prison setting/corrections facility, or a private, public, and or government sector required. Prior experience in a correctional environment preferred.
Full-Time: $74,389 – $132,616
