Summary:
- High School diploma preferred.
- Continuing education in law enforcement is encouraged.
- Must have basic computer skills.
License or Certification Requirements:
- Valid Illinois Driver's License
- Evidence of driving record up to 7 yrs may be required to meet insurability in Riverside's insurance program.
- Insurability in Riverside's insurance program is a requirement of the position.
- Proof of a good driving record.
- CPI certification within the first 3 months of hire.
Responsibilities:
- Documents incidents involving patient, visitors, employees and property.
- Enforces the safety and security policies and procedures of Riverside HealthCare.
- Ensure a safe and secure environment for all patients, visitors and employees.
- Issues parking citations to employees and visitors that are found to be in violation.
- Observes and records all safety and fire hazards and submits a work order for repair to the Maintenance department.
- Operates digital camera and printer. Patrol and monitor the hospital and related properties by foot and vehicle.
- Patrols the hospital property and related property in the prevention of crime.
- Perform such other duties as the Security Director and/or Supervisor shall from time to time direct.
- Performs duties specified in the shift assignments and completes all required reports.
- Provide 24 hour video surveillance by the use of closed circuit television in the prevention of crime.
- Provides consistent vehicular patrol for crime prevention purposes.
- Submit daily reports which will include the officer's activity of all safety/security incidents and/or occurrences.
- Summons law enforcement assistance when needed and signs a formal complaint when necessary.
