Riverside Counseling Center is Hiring a Medical Biller Near Leesburg, VA

The Company: We are a Mental Health Practice located in Lansdowne Virginia. We are a multi-specialty practice with over 20 providers who all specialize in different areas. At Riverside Counseling Center we strive for our patient's satisfaction and great experience. The administrative staff is the face of the practice, who are friendly, helpful and professional. We are looking for someone to be a part of our billing department who is self-motivated, driven, team player and MUST be able to multitask.

Training & Team Member Support

  • Assist billing department with troubleshooting and escalations
  • Partner with leadership to provide training to current employees to include retraining, rollouts of new Standard Operating Procedures, new workflows, and/or new systems
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with staff, patients, and providers while contributing to a team environment.
  • Lead by example in upholding all company policies and procedures – support leadership in ensuring all company policies and procedures are upheld.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and take an active role in implementation as appropriate.
  • Make recommendations for team meeting agendas to leadership and actively participate/facilitate as appropriate.

Operations

  • Assist in the resolution of patient questions and concerns.
  • Lead functions related to check posting, charge entry, edits processing, and customer service.
  • Demonstrate advanced proficiency in ICAnotes billing modules.
  • Participate in credentialing process.
  • Make recommendations for data-driven strategies to improve billing efficiency and reduce errors, and support implementation.
  • Support practice leadership in identifying the need for new or modified Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Complete charge entry duties and provide support for team members as appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with medical coding policies and guidelines.

Other Duties

  • Employees may be asked to take on other duties as assigned and escalate any concerns to leadership or Human Resources.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills i.e., Microsoft Office suite, ability to navigate websites.
  • Ability to multi-task and perform well in stressful situations.
  • Knowledge of billing practices and
  • Time management and strong organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of general administration in a healthcare setting.
  • Can work independently and with a team.

Working Conditions

  • This position is primarily based in an administrative office setting.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 90% of the time.
  • Continuously operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, printer, and phone.
  • The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • This position may require occasional overtime in order to support business needs.
  • Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement and third party payer regulations and medical terminology required.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory requirements pertaining to health care operations and their impact on operations.

Requirements

  • Medical Billing experience required - experience supporting a private practice is preferred.
  • Experience training others in a professional setting strongly preferred.
  • One (1) years of leadership experience in a professional setting strongly preferred.
  • Healthcare industry experience required.
  • Demonstrated understanding and compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
