Position Overview:
As a Banquet Houseperson at the Rivers Casino, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of events by setting up banquet rooms in accordance with specific floor plans for each occasion. From arranging tables and chairs to placing settings and assembling stages and dance floors, your attention to detail will contribute to the overall success of each event.

Key Responsibilities:

• Arrange banquet rooms based on event floor plans, including setting up tables, chairs, stages, dance floors, and other necessary elements.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the banquet area.
• Bus tables, restock side stations, and ensure the overall upkeep of the banquet area.
• Keep side stands well-stocked, ensuring cleanliness of the banquet area and maintaining the prescribed inventory levels.
• Provide professional and courteous assistance to guests.
• Perform tasks such as emptying trash, stocking bus carts, and returning used dishware to the kitchen.
• Perform sweeping, cleaning, and mopping duties as assigned.
• Undertake any other duties as directed.

• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and guests in English.

• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking in the kitchen and banquet spaces

• Physical agility and ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs frequently and 75 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to maneuver carts, pushing, pulling, and transporting items weighing over 100 lbs. through crowded spaces.
• Capability to bend, squat, kneel, and reach, along with occasional sitting and reaching above shoulder level.
• Adequate eye-hand coordination, manual dexterity, normal hearing, and vision.
