We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Activities Assistant to join our team in our Skilled Nursing Facility!

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in planning, coordinating, and implementing a wide range of resident activities
• Encourage and motivate residents to participate in activities that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being
• Provide individualized attention and support to residents during activities
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for activities, ensuring all equipment is in good working condition
• Document residents' participation and progress in activity programs
• Collaborate with the Activities Director to create a monthly activity calendar
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required
• Enhancing the quality of life for our residents through engaging and stimulating activities.
• Work closely with our Activities Director to plan, coordinate, and implement a wide variety of activities for our residents.
• Assist in organizing group activities, such as arts and crafts, games, and exercise classes, as well as individual activities that cater to each resident's interests and abilities.
• Encouraging resident participation, ensuring their safety and well-being during activities, and providing emotional support as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with residents, families, and staff
• Compassionate, patient, and creative, with a genuine passion for working with older adults
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Creativity and the ability to develop engaging activities for residents with varying abilities
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite

EXPERIENCE:

• With previous experience working in a similar role or a healthcare setting are welcome
• Experience working with older adults
• Experienced Activities Assistant
