Job Summary
This position performs the administrative and supervisory work directing the maintenance, repair and alteration of the facility, its property and equipment. It involves responsibility for the planning, organzing, directing, inspecting and coordinating the activities of the building maintenance. Overall responsibilities include the maintenance of the facility, grounds and repair and preventative maintenance.
Plans and directs HVAC, electrical , plumbing, carpenter, yard and general labor. Purchases materials and maintains adequate stock. Consults Administration concerning operation, maintenance, specifications, drawings, contracts, etc . Estimates labor and material costs and review work progress through inspections. Establishes work schedules, priorities, and operating policies and procedures.
Administers the Life Safety program and responsible for appropriate health and safety rules related to the work environment of employees within the department. Plays an intricate leadership role in the Safety Committee.
Experience in Nursing Home maintenance and general contracting knowledge and knowledge of DOH life safety requirements. Must have a valid PA Driver's License
