Position: LINE QUEUE CONCIERGE

Temporary. Requires open availability, including evenings and weekends.

Status: Reports to Customer Service Managers

Pay Level: I, non-exempt.

Location: Northampton, MA

Purpose: To re-establish standard grocery store customer lines in our customer traffic flow within our customer service department. The ideal candidate will work to ensure a great customer experience and cultural understanding of our need to return to standard customer line flow.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

CUSTOMER SERVICE

• Create and maintain a feeling of welcoming friendliness for all shoppers and community members when they visit our stores.
• To skillfully and tactfully redirect customer traffic at the front-end check-out process.
• Offer customer service that supports the store's overall success and flow.
• Assist in changing the culture surrounding checkout lines.
• Facilitate flow by checking out express orders as needed
• Make effective use of downtime, including bagging for co-workers, stocking and packaging products, maintaining full stock levels in product departments, assisting on service counters, and participating in projects across the store as assigned.
• Maintain a cool head under pressure and embrace busy times as a sign of success.

ALL STAFF DUTIES

• Attend and participate in department and storewide meetings.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the Customer Service Managers and Manager on Duty.
