Full-time Transportation Specialist needed!!!

Our facility is currently seeking an energetic, full-time transportation specialist to join our family at River Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation!! We take pride in caring for our residents in their homes. Joining our team is becoming part of a family!

Primary Responsibilities:

As our transportation specialist you will be responsible for the following: 

• Operating the facility's transport bus in a safe manner abiding by speed limits, laws of the road, and operation manuals
• Ensuring the bus is clean, oil changes are up-to-date, tires are inflated, heat and air are working properly, and safety checks are performed before operating the bus
• Coordinating with nursing staff for appointments, updating transportation board and calendar, and assisting with appointment rescheduling when needed
• Assisting residents that are independent or have impairments on/off the bus, taking them into/out of physician’s offices, etc., and safely using transferring equipment (wheelchairs, walkers, rollators, etc.),
• Assisting other staff members in the facility when appointments are not scheduled

Requirements:

• Must have a valid driver’s license that is in good standing and not expired
• Minimum of 1-year experience or related preferred 
• 1-year experience long term care experience preferred

Education:

• High school diploma/GED
• BLS not required but preferred 
• CNA certification not required but preferred
