To be considered, you should:

  • Be empathetic, patient, and treat others with respect.
  • Have an Associates level degree, plus six years of related experience or Bachelors level degree plus four years related experience or Masters level degree plus two years of related experience working with youth in a related setting (e.g. mental health, treatment services, residential, schools, after-school programs, coaching sports, etc.).
  • Have a desire to work with troubled teens.
  • Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.
  • Possession of a valid CA Drivers License.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Oversees and coordinates case management services for one or more STRTP, Behavioral Health programs.
  • Participates in Child and Family Team meetings (CFT), referral for other mental health and community resources and serve to ensure successful discharge back into the community.
  • Act as primary liaison with client and all site departments, parents/legal guardian, and placing agency officials.
  • Manages and updates assigned client files according to STRTP standards.
  • May assist in coordinating appointments pertaining to client’s treatment plan to ensure program participation.
  • Identifies community contacts and opportunities for client employment.
  • Participates in weekly staffing on youth to assure program compliance and make necessary adjustments to individual needs assessments and plans.
  • Completes required reports and documentation in a timely manner, provides management with required reports and advises of any problematic situations.
  • Ensures the safety, health and welfare of staff and clients at all times.
  • Provides encouragement, guidance and resources to the staff and clients.
  • Treats others with respect, confronts negative behavior and supports confrontation.
  • Assists other staff members with emergency situations.
  • Complies with and implements the Rite of Passage Policies and Procedures as detailed in the appropriate manuals/handbooks.
