Job Responsibilities :

• Ensure the work area and equipment are kept clean and orderly.
• Inspect equipment daily for signs of excessive wear, defects, and damage, and repair industrial equipment and machinery to maintain proper working order.
• Record all maintenance and repair services performed, and keep track of materials and parts used.
• Observe and promote all plant safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) specifications.
• Follow manufacturer manuals and blueprints for operating or setting up new machinery and making repairs.
• Attend training sessions both off-site and on-site as needed.
• Notify leadership when materials and parts inventory are low or depleted.

Job Skills :

• Ability to stand, sit, bend, walk, stretch, climb, push, pull, kneel, squat, and reach.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 20-70 pounds.
• Willingness to work in cold or hot environments (10 degrees below zero to 105 degrees) or damp areas with slippery surfaces.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Basic computer skills for completing required training and tasks.
• Ability to identify parts and supplies needed for job tasks.
• Strong verbal communication skills for training environments.
• Ability to read and understand manuals, instructions, blueprints, and schematics.
• Ability to work on hard surfaces for up to 12 hours.
• Team-oriented and capable of working independently.
• Effective written and oral communication skills with team members and management.
• Self-starter with a sense of urgency and entrepreneurial spirit.

Requirements :

• 1 year of industrial maintenance experience or 6 months of industrial maintenance experience with relevant education (industrial maintenance diploma or current enrollment in technical school).
• Previous client employees must have a minimum rehire waiting period of 180 days and are limited to three times of employment.
• Maintenance mechanic experience in one of the following areas :
• One year of experience in industrial manufacturing.
• Two years in aircraft maintenance, agriculture maintenance, or military maintenance.
• Three years in automotive maintenance.

Additional Information :

• This position does not offer variable compensation or sponsorship.
• Pay is $26.49 per hour, with an increase to $30.68 per hour if you have an ammonia license.
• No relocation assistance available.
• This is a backfill position.
• No direct reports.
• Work hours are not flexible.
