Ripken Baseball is Hiring a Food and Beverage Manager Near Pigeon, TN

Overview:

The Food & Beverage Manager will be required to assist with the day-to-day operation of The Ripken Experience – Pigeon Forge concessions areas and operations.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Clubhouse Grill, satellite concession stands, and food and beverage for VIP Suites.
  • Ensure food orders are prepared in a timely manner and that purchases are completed efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain point of sale and inventory control system on a daily basis.
  • Secure relationships with food and beverage vendors and place all food and beverage product orders.
  • Design and implement a yearly concessions plan (including menus) to increase revenue, increase food and beverage quality, while improving customer service and limiting food and labor costs.
  • Receive and store all food and beverage inventory.
  • Maintain daily and monthly inventory of all food and beverage items.
  • Regularly rotate stock to ensure inventory is available.
  • Maintain daily cost of sales, cash control, and inventory.
  • Hire and train seasonal concession employees and summer interns.
  • Ensure compliance with Department of Labor, DHEC, and OSHA standards.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized environment within the kitchen and concession stands.
  • Perform cost analysis on all products to identify the best options.
  • Promote a synergistic relationship with team members in all departments and divisions.
  • Ensure professional development by enhancing work knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Ensure completion of work responsibilities and special projects in accordance with the designated timeframe, as determined by the General Manager.
  • Provide leadership with feedback, ideas, and suggestions on a timely basis.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Culinary or related field
  • Sales & negotiation experience
  • Previous experience in managing a fast-paced concessions operation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Good conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work around children, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.
  • Effective leadership skills.
  • Positive and effective customer service skills
  • Good time management skills.
  • General knowledge of the game of baseball and softball.


Preferred:

  • Culinary background.
  • Serve Safe certified.
  • Meeting and presentation experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced, stressful environment.
  • Familiarity with DHEC, OSHA, Department of Labor regulations and policies.


Working Conditions / Special Physical Requirements:

  • Stand or walk for long periods of time.
  • Routinely exposed to extreme hot/cold weather conditions.
  • Required to work flexible schedule based on the needs of the business.
  • Routinely required to work extended hours of time including week days/nights, and weekends
