Rip City Management LLC is Hiring a Conversions Set Up Manager - Overnight Near Portland, OR

As our Conversions Set Up Manager, you will be responsible for planning, supervising, coordinating, scheduling and executing all activities and operations of the Conversions Department including overnight conversions, ice makes, and other major change overs at the Rose Quarter. To provide highly responsible staff assistance and be the decision-making manager on site during overnight hours between events at the Rose Quarter. This person will be supervising a crew of employees in completing arena conversions in a timely and safe manner.

We’d like to hear from you if you: - Have at least 2-4 years of related work experience - Can work flexible schedules, primarily covering overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays. - Have experience and preferably hold a forklift certification for driving a forklift. In addition, you: - Have excellent people management skills and proven experience in leading and supervising teams effectively.
  • Are a strong leader, team player, and collaborative individual who is willing to roll up their sleeves. - Have experience in building positive relationships across departments and teams. - Demonstrate strong project management skills, including the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and handle difficult situations effectively. You are flexible and creative when dealing with last-minute requests/changes.
  • Achieve results and thrive in meeting tight deadlines. - Are highly organized and skilled in multitasking, particularly when managing various types and sizes of events. - Are detail-oriented and dedicated to effective communication and follow-through.   • Recruit, train, schedule and supervise conversion personal to include full-time, part-time and contract employees. Handles all crew performance evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions. - Assists Sr. Department Manager with the development of departmental operating budgets and goals.
  • Responsible for scheduling of staff through company software system and subsequent payroll procedures; reporting event costs to Event Manager. - Coordinates with other departments and contractors as needed on event and non-event days. Confirms event information from Event Management and Productions and directs department accordingly. - Helps maintain and manage building inventory.
Assures proper storage of Conversion equipment, tools, and supplies as needed. - Ensures proper staff and equipment are in place for every event from large events to small catering events. - Works closely with Facility operations department to maintain equipment and ensure it is in excellent working order. - Develops and implements departmental policies and procedures to ensure that the highest possible standards of operations are met and sustained.
  • Assists Sr. Department Manager with purchasing of supplies and equipment, including capital improvements for the Conversions department. - Committed to developing a diverse and inclusive environment
