Hello everyone, we're thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity in the field of education. Our client is actively seeking a qualified Art History Teacher. Interviews are scheduled to commence in March, with successful candidates expected to start in August for the upcoming school year.

1. Degree in Art History or Significant Experience: Candidates should either have a formal degree in art history or substantial practical experience, ensuring a strong foundation in the subject for effective teaching.

2. Minimum of Three Years of Teaching Experience: A requirement for at least three years of teaching experience signifies a proven track record in pedagogy, classroom management, and understanding students' needs.

3. Commitment to Teaching Both Middle and Upper School Students: Demonstrating a commitment to teaching across different age groups showcases flexibility and adaptability, essential for catering to the diverse needs of Middle and Upper School students.

A half-time (50% of full-time) position in the History Department beginning August 2024.

Responsibilities include:

● teaching one course in art history (an elective survey for juniors and seniors) and one course in the sequential History curriculum (required of all students, sixth through tenth grades).

● participating in grade-level team planning meetings with colleagues and attending department meetings.

● helping girls think independently and develop confidence in their own abilities and idea

The ideal candidate will:

● have a degree in art history or significant experience with it.

● have at least three years of teaching experience.

● have a commitment to teaching both Middle and Upper School students

● show a commitment to have excellent collaboration and communication skills.

● be able to articulate how one's identity plays a role in the classroom and model inclusive behavior, in alignment with the school's commitment to antiracist pedagogy and curricular design

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $72,500.00 - $143,500.00 per year
