RimTyme is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Credit Manager to join our team. As a Credit Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the credit and collections process, managing customer accounts, and ensuring compliance with company credit policies. Your primary focus will be on evaluating creditworthiness, minimizing bad debt exposure, and maintaining positive relationships with customers. Responsibilities:

  1. Credit Evaluation: Assess the creditworthiness of new and existing customers by analyzing financial data, credit reports, and payment history to determine credit limits and terms.
  2. Credit Policies: Develop and enforce credit policies and procedures in accordance with company guidelines and industry best practices to minimize risk and bad debt exposure.
  3. Collections Management: Oversee the collections process, including monitoring customer accounts, contacting delinquent customers, and implementing appropriate actions to recover outstanding debts.
  4. Customer Relationships: Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, providing exceptional customer service and addressing inquiries or concerns related to credit and collections.
  5. Credit Analysis and Reporting: Conduct ongoing credit analysis, evaluate credit trends, and generate reports for management, providing insights and recommendations to improve credit management strategies.
  6. Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, such as the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and debt collection practices, while adhering to company policies and guidelines.
  7. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as sales, customer service, and finance, to ensure effective credit management processes and resolve any customer-related issues promptly.
  8. Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to staff members involved in the credit and collections process, ensuring their adherence to policies and fostering their professional growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (preferred)
  • Proven experience in credit management, collections, or related roles, with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience
  • Strong knowledge of credit and collections principles, including credit evaluation, risk assessment, and debt recovery strategies
  • Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations, such as the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions based on financial data and creditworthiness assessments
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate credit decisions and resolve customer inquiries or disputes
  • Proficiency in using credit management software and financial analysis tools
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
